Where are you located?

Since we deliver and pick-up all of our bikes, CBR does not have a storefront location.

Is there an additional charge for delivery or pick-up?

Delivery and pick-up are free to any secure location in Prince Edward County. Pick-up location can be decided during the ride.

When are bikes delivered and picked up?

We try to deliver and pick-up bikes to suit your schedule. That said, we try to order our deliveries to minimize our carbon footprint, so your delivery time will depend to some extent on our other rentals that morning. You will receive a text or email the evening before to confirm what time your bikes will be arriving.

What is included with each rental?

Every bike is safety-equipped with a helmet, lock, kickstand, and bell. Additional accessories such as racks and panniers/bags, mirrors, fenders and SPD pedals are available for a nominal charge. Each rental also includes a map, bike bag, an LED taillight for greater visibility, as well as a complimentary CBR water bottle for each rider.

What bikes do you have?

CBR has over 40 MEC commuter style “Mixed Tape” bikes in 4 sizes, with 7-speed twist-grip shifting, 35mm tires for road or trail use, and strong V-brakes. We also have compact Revelo folding bikes that fit easily into your trunk. Both are Canadian-designed. Lastly we have a Co-motion Periscope tandem. Dedicated trailers for kids or pets are also available.

Why don’t you rent road and mountain bikes?

Our commuter bikes have been chosen to provide an easy, comfortable and secure ride for the recreational cyclist. Road and mountain bikes are more complex and specialized requiring greater rider skill and knowledge and are more prone to mechanical issues.

How early should I reserve a bike?

Although we have a large fleet, we still sell out frequently. So it’s always a good idea to reserve as soon as you have dates, especially if you are a group or are visiting on a holiday weekend. Reservations are risk-free.

Can I modify or cancel my reservation?

Absolutely! As long as you let us know 2 days in advance, you can modify or cancel your reservation without cost or penalty. Less than 48 hours is a $10/bike cancellation fee and less than 24 hours is a $25/bike fee. Please advise us at jeff@countybikerentals.com or text 647-462-7504 if you need to make changes.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept major credit cards, e-transfer and cash. A $10/bike deposit is required to guarantee your reservation if you are renting 10 or more bikes.

What kind of discounts are available? 

CBR discounts whenever there are multiple bikes delivered and picked up together or bikes are rented for more than one day. For example, 2 bikes rented for 2 days are discounted 50% compared to the daily rate for one bike. See the rate chart for more info.

Do I have to sign a waiver?

Yes. As wonderful as it is to ride a bike in The County, it is not a risk-free activity. The waiver releases CBR from any responsibility for your safety or the consequences of your decision to rent a bike from CBR. As is industry practice, we can only rent bikes with a waiver signed by each individual rider.

What help do your provide in fitting the bike?

We want you to enjoy your bike ride to the max! Each MEC bike is fitted for your comfort, starting with the frame size; then the seat height is adjusted for optimal comfort and efficiency. The Revelo folding bike comes in one size but is highly adjustable for both seat and handlebar height providing a custom fit, as is the tandem.

What happens if I have a flat tire or other mechanical problem?

CBR provides free road side assistance for all of its rentals. Just call 1-844-4COUNTY and we will make our best efforts to get you back on the road as quickly as possible.

Do you repair or sell bikes?

We only maintain our own bikes. The sale of our fleet bikes will occur from time to time.
